General Insurance Corporation Officers Exam popularly known as GIC Officers Exam is the combined competitive examination for recruiting personals in Assistant Administrative Officer post at General Insurance Corporation of India. i.e.
- National Insurance Company Ltd., Calcutta
- The New India Assurance Company Ltd., Mumbai
- The Oriental Fire and General Insurance Company Ltd., New Delhi; and
- United India Insurance Company Ltd., Chennai.
Every year the exam falls in the month of February.
GIC Officers exam qualifications and eligibility criteria
The G.I.C Officers exam age limit should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years. However the age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and ex-servicemen. The G.I.C Officers exam educational qualification is that the candidate should be a graduate or post-graduate with 50% marks in Arts, Science, Agriculture, Commerce, Engineering or Law obtained from a recognized university.
GIC Officer exam structure, question pattern and selection procedure
GIC Officers entrance exam consists of a written test followed by an interview. The GIC Officers Exam MCQ objective type questions focus on Tests of Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness and Professional Knowledge. The candidates who successfully qualify in the written test will be called for interview where the personality of the candidate will be judged.
