IBPS CWE - Common Written Examination 2011 for bank clerk details


There are 19 banks participating in CWE for clerk - Common Written Examination 2011 conducted by IBPS. This article gives you complete details about 2011 CWE for clerk conducted by IBPS. IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is conducting a Common Written Examination to select qualified candidates for clerical post in 19 public sector banks. The Common written examination for the clerical post will be conducted on 27/11/2011. Common written Examination will be conducted two times in a year by IBPS.

Candidates who scored minimum CWE scores will be short-listed and selection procedure will not be common and it will be different according to the rules of each banks. Recruitment of clerk will be made state wise and candidates can appear in one-exam centers in a state. Minimum age for applying to clerical post is 18 and Maximum age is 28 in general category.

CWE 2011 clerk exam Educational Qualifications


Candidate who is having any one of the below educational qualification for CWE 2011 - clerk Can apply for the post.

1) Candidate should pass in 10th, +1 and +2 (old scheme) with 60 % of marks and for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and EXSM candidates a pass is required in 10th, +1 and +2 Exams.

2) Candidate has to secure 50 % of marks in higher secondary exams of 10th and plus two and degree patterns or any equilant examination or 50 % of marks in Diploma in banking which is authorized by central or state Government. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD and EXCM, a pass is required in all forms of exams.

3) Candidate having graduation from a recognized university or equivalent qualification can also apply for the CWE clerical post.

Participating banks for IBPS CWE (clerk) 2011


There are total 19 public sector banks participating in CWE 2011 - clerk post conducted by IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection which includes Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, UCO Bank, Vijaya Bank. Selection process will be different in each bank apart from its Common Written Examination. Candidates are selected according to the CWE scores. High CWE scorer's will be called by the participating banks according to the vacancies available.

CWE 2011 clerk exam structure and cutoff marks


There will be total 250 questions and maximum of 250 marks CWE 2011 clerk examination. 150 minutes (2 hrs 30 minutes) will be the examination duration. CWE 2011 clerk exam pattern consists of five objective type tests which consists of 50 questions and 50 marks in each tests. Each question carries one mark each. 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. In each test there will be minimum score set which the candidate should achieve. Cutoff mark for CWE 2011 clerk post for each test will be based on average basis. For general candidates, cutoff mark will be based on Average - 1/4 Standard deviation and Average - 3/4 standard deviations for reserved categories. Candidate who scored minimum marks in each test will be given scorecard and send to the candidate through post and informed through email. More details about the tests are given below.

a) Reasoning test: This test is conducted to know the reasoning skill of the candidate. 50 objective type questions with a maximum of 50 marks

b) English language test: Language efficiency in English is tested here. 50 objective type questions with a maximum of 50 marks.

c) Numerical ability test: 50 objective type questions with a maximum of 50 marks. Numerical skill of the candidate is tested here.

d) General awareness test relating to banking: You should have good awareness about banking sector to write this test.

e) Computer Knowledge test: Questions relating to computer is given. You can score maximum of 50 marks here.

How to apply for CWE 2011 clerk examination?


Qualified candidates can apply for CWE 2011 clerk exam online . You can apply online for CWE 2011 clerk exam from 25/08/2011 and last date of online submission is 24/09/2011. Application fee for general candidates will be350/- and50/- for SC/ST/PWD and EXSM.
