West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WB)is inviting applications from Female candidates for 2940 post of Lady Constable as per the following details.

West Bengal Police Lady Constable Recruitment 2012 vacancy details

Name and number of posts: Lady Constable (29400 posts)

Pay scale: Rs.5400 – Rs.25200 and Grade pay—Rs.2600 per month

Age limit: 18yrs to 27yrs as on dated 1-1-2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Madhyamik Pariksha (X standard) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government.

Physical Standards to apply for West Bengal Police Lady Constable Recruitment 2012:
Height: 160 CM (152 CM for candidates of SC/ST, Gorkha, Garoyali, Rajbangshi)
Weight: Should be proportional to age and height as per medical standard.
Eye sight: 6/6 with or without glass.

West Bengal Police Lady Constable Recruitment 2012 application procedure and selection process

Application procedure: Candidates can get the prescribed application form hand to hand from the office of the Superintendent of Police (S.P.) of the respective districts or can be collected from the office of Sub-Divisional Police Officer from 27th Feb 2012 to 25th March. Candidates are required to bring Crossed Postal Order or Demand Draft of Rs.150 as application fee with them. IPO/ D.D. should be in favour of—“West Bengal Police Recruitment Board” and payable—“Kolkata GPO” to obtain the application form.

Please send the completely filled application form along with all required document’s (Age Proof, Caste Certificate and Two copie’s of color passport size Photograph)( One should be affixed on the application form )and 3 self addressed envelop of 34*26 cm size affixed a postage stamp of Rs. 5 on it to postal address : ‘ The Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, Araksha Bhavan, Sector-II, Block-DJ, Salt Lake City, Kolkata-700091 on or before 30/03/2012.

Selection procedure: Candidates will be selected by West Bengal Police Recruitment Board through Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Interview and finally Medical Examination.

On basis of application, candidates will be called for Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test. The candidates who successfully passed the test will go for the written test followed by Physical Ability Test as mentioned below.

Written Test will be of 90 Marks. The questions will be of Objective Types on followings—(I) General Awareness, (II) General Knowledge, (III) Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics. There will be Negative marking for wrong answers. The questions will be set in Hindi, Bengali, English and Nepali.

Physical Ability Test will be of—Race of 400 Meters in 2 Minutes.

After Interview, the candidates will have to go through Medical examination. Medical examination will be in selected govt. hospitals.Finally certificates verification, if post is awarded then candidate will be sent to the Police Training School for training purposes.
