  • No. of positions : 401 posts
    (94 posts in BSF, 223 posts in CRPF, 26 posts in ITBP, 14 posts in SSB)
  • Age Limit : The age limit for UPSC CPF (AC)Examination 2012 should be between 20 to 27 years as on 01 August 2012. Age relaxation applicable as per central government rules upto maximum of 5 years.

Eligibility UPSC CPF 2012 Assistant Commandants vacancy

  • Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree from recognized Board as on 01.08.2012.
  • Physical standard : For male candidates minimum requirement is hight 165 cm. and 50 Kg. weight. For female candidates minimum requirement is hight 157 cm. and 46 Kg. weight.
  • Medical standard : Candidates should be eligible in terms of standard in eye sight, hearing, venereal disease, skin disease, etc. as per Medical standards. Candidate should not be having any chronic disease.

Selection process for UPSC Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2012 for Assistant Commandants vacancies

The selection procedure for UPSC CPF AC jobs 2012 is based on two parts i.e. written examination and physical standard test. Only the qualified candidates in the written exam will be called for physical efficiency test.

The UPSC written examination for Central Armed Police Forces Assistant Commandants will be held on 11 November 2012.

UPSC CPF AC recruitment 2012 Exam pattern

Written Examination will be comprising of two papers.

Paper I : General Ability and Intelligence
Total Marks : 250
Time allotted : 2 Hours
Paper type : Objective (Multiple Answers)
Marking system : Negative marking for wrong answers.
Time and date : 10 am to 12 Noon on 11 November 2012

Paper II : General Studies, Essay and Comprehension
Total Marks : 200
Time allotted : 3 Hours
Paper type : Subjective
Time and date : 2 pm to 5 pm on 11 November 2012

Candidates able to pass minimum qualifying marks in Paper I will only be eligible for Paper II.

Further, candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the Physical Efficiency Tests.

  1. 100 Meters race
  2. 800 Meters race
  3. Long Jump
  4. Shot Put (only for male candidates)

The syllabus for UPSC exam 2012 for CPF AC consists of General Mental Ability, General Science, Current Events of National and International Importance, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India and Indian and World Geography.

UPSC CPF (AC) exam 2012 application procedure

  • Candidates need to fill the online application form for UPSC CPF (AC) exam 2012 at the official website of UPSC.
  • Online application for UPSC exam 2012 CPF (AC) consists of two parts. Candidates need to fill up both Part-I and Part-II.
  • Please note that applications are accepted only through online application form. No other physical form is accepted.
  • Candidates need to pay a fee of 200/- by depositing in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking in any of State Bank of India, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore. Candidates can even opt for online payment using any of the Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
