MECL recruitment 2013 through GATE 2013: Eligibility, pay scale and vacancy details

No.of Post: A total of 40 vacancies available for MECL Engineering Trainees / Office Trainee posts in the following disciplines.

Geology - 15 vacancies. (Gen 8, SC 2, ST 1, OBC (NCL) 4)
Geophysics - 5 vacancies (Gen 3, SC 1, OBC (NCL) 1)
Mechanical Engineering - 20 vacancies (Gen 10, SC 3, ST 2, OBC(NCL) 5)

Age limit: The age limit for MECL recruitment 2012 for Engineering Trainees -Office Trainees should not be above 28 years as on 31.01.2013. However upper age limit is relaxed as per norms.

Educational qualification: Here is the educational eligibility required to apply for MECL recruitment 2013 for Engineering Trainees / Office Trainees.

For Geology Disciplines: The candidate should have done M.Sc/M.Tech/ M.Sc. Tech (Geology/ Applied Geology) / M.Tech. (Geological Technology) with First Division. Should have taken not less than 65% marks.

For Geophysics Disciplines: The candidate should have done M.Sc /M.Tech/ M.Sc. Tech (Geophysics / Applied Geophysics)/ M.Tech (Geophysical Technology) passed in First Division (minimum of 65% marks)

For Mechanical Engineering Disciplines: The candidate should have done B.Tech / B.E/B.Sc. Engg in Mech. Engg with First Division taking not less than 65% marks.

Pay scale: The salary for Engineering Trainees / Office Trainees jobs at MECL is in the pay scale of 16400-3%-40500 with DA, HRA, medical and other allowances.

Selection process MECL recruitment 2013 through GATE 2013

Candidates who wish to apply for MECL recruitment 2013 for Engineering Trainee /Office Trainee should appear for GATE 2013 papers as mentioned below.

To apply for MECL Geology Discipline candidates need to appear for Geology and Geophysics GATE 2013 paper for which the paper code is GG.

To apply for MECL Geophysics discipline candidates need to appear for Geology and Geophysics GATE 2013 paper for which the paper code is GG.

To apply for MECL Mechanical Engineering discipline candidates need to appear for Mechanical Engineering GATE 2013 paper for which the paper code is ME.

Based on GATE 2013 scores the candidates will be shortlisted for personal interview which will be in the ratio of 1:5.

How to apply for MECL recruitment 2013 for Engineering Trainee/Office Trainee vacancies

Candidates who wish to apply for MECL Geology, Geophysics and Mechanical Engineering have to appear corresponding GATE 2013 papers. The GATE admit card will have GATE 2013 registration number. After getting the GATE registration number candiates can apply for MECL.

The candidates should obtain IPO for 100 for each post which should drawn in favour of 'Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited, Nagpur'. The application form for MECL recruitment 2013 should contain details like GATE 2013 registration number, name of the post applied for, name of the candidate, father's name, date and place of birth, age as on 31.03.2013, present and permanent address, email id, mobile or land line phone number, category of the candidate, qualification details, experience, present pay scale.

Filled in application form along with recent passport size photograph should be enclosed in an envelope which should be superscribed for the post applied for should be sent from January 01, 2013 to the address mentioned below on or before 31st January, 2013 which is the last date for receipt of application to MECL.
