SSC recruitment 2013 notification has been issued for Constables and Rifleman job vacancies which is going to please for those who are looking for SSC defence jobs in 2013. There are total of 22006 SSC Constable GD and Rifleman vacancies distributed for male and female candidates of various categories across different forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifle across various states in India.

SSC Defence recruitment 2013 for Constable (GD) and Rifleman (GD) eligibility, pay scale and vacancy details

No.of vacancies: A total of 22006 vacancies available for Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

Pay scale: The salary for SSC Constable and Rifleman jobs is in the pay band of 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of 2000.

Age limit: The age limit for SSC Constable and Rifleman should be between 18 to 23 years as on 01.01.2013. However the upper age limit is relaxed for SC/ST/OBC and Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. order.

Educational qualification: Candidates who have passed Matriculation or Class X from a recognized board/university are eligible to apply.

Selection procedure for SSC Constable and Rifleman recruitment 2013

Candidates will be selected based on Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PET) and Medical Test for which the details are as follows.

Physical Standard: Here is the physical standard required to apply for Constable post.
  • Height: The height for the post of constable For males - 170 cms and for females 157 cms.
  • Chest: Chest for the post of Constable for males only - Unexpanded 80 cms, expanded min expansion 5 cms.
  • Weight: Weight for males and females should be in proportionate to height and age.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The PET for Male and Female candidates are as follows.
  • Race: For male - 5 kms in 23 minutes, for female - 1.6 kms in 8 1/2 minutes.
  • Race for candidates of Ladakh region: For male - 1 mile in 6 1/2 minutes, for female - 800 meters in 4 minutes.

The candidates who qualified in PET will only be called for written test. The written examination date for SSC Constable and Rifleman is on 12th May, 2013.

The final selection list for SSC Constable recruitment 2013 is based on merit in each category in each state and the cut-off marks for SSC Constable recruitment for General and Ex-Servicemen is 35% and 33% for SC/ST/OBC.

SSC recruitment 2013 for Constable and Rifleman exam syllabus and pattern

SSC Constable and Rifleman exam will be of objective type multiple choice question consists of a single paper which will have 100 questions carrying 100 marks.

Syllabus for SSC Constable and Rifleman exam: The question paper for SSC Constable exam is of single paper will have Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D each of which have 25 questions carrying 25 marks each. SSC Constable and Rifleman recruitment 2013 application fees and mode of payment

The application fee for SSC Constable 2013 recruitment is 50 by the way of CRFS Stamps only which is available at all Departmental Post Offices. It should be affixed on the space provided on the SSC Constable recruitment 2013 application form and got cancelled by Post Office of issue with the date stamp of Issuing Post Office.

Candidates applying online have to pay the said fees through SBI challan or Net banking.

How to apply for SSC Constable recruitment 2013

If you are eligible as per the criteria mentioned above, you can apply it on or before 11.01.2013. Both offline and online applications for SSC constable recruitment 2013 are available for you to apply. To apply offline candidates need to obtain prescribed application format and duly fill it, attach relevant documents and submit your application at regional SSC Offices on or beofre 11.01.2013.

To apply online, visit the official website of SSC and complete the Part I registration. Note down the registration number generated by the system which is required to continue Part II registration. After payment of fees, proceed with Part II registration and upload scanned photo and signature and hit the submit button to complete the process.
