CSIR UGC NET June 2013 exam notification has been issued vide Advertisement No.10-2(5)/2013(i) - E.U.II. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) twice a year on June and December. The candidates can apply either for JRF or LS and need to mention their preference while applying. This year the exam date for UGC NET June 2013 falls on 23rd June. So candidates interested in pursuing their career in research in one of the best IITs or Universities or other National Organizations can apply now as you need to qualify in JRF NET exam 2013. UGC NET June 2013 exam eligibility for JRF and Lectureship
- Candidates with qualification of BS-4 years Program / BE/ B.Tech/B. Pharma / MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/ MSC or having equivalent degree with not less than 55% marks for General and OBC and 50% for SC/ST, PH and VH candidates can apply.
- Candidates who have completed 10+2+3 years with the above qualification or enrolled for M.Sc are also eligible to apply under Results awaited category which is subject to the condition that they need to complete the degree with the said marks within two years to avail fellowship from the date of award
- Candidates with Degree B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent or Candidates enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with not less than 55% marks for General and OBC and 50% marks for SC/ST, PH and VH can also apply. Candidates with Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering or any other disciple are eligible for Fellowship only but after getting registered or enrolled for PhD/Integrated PHD within the period of two years.
- PhD degree holders who have completed their Master's Degree before 19th September 1991 with not less than 50% marks can apply for Lectureship only
- The age limit for JRF Net exam is 28 years as on 01.01.2013. However upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH and female candidates. There is no upper age limit for LS.
UGC NET June 2013 exam schedule, syllabus and Pattern
Here is the exam date and schedule for UGC NET June 2013.
Morning Session - Life Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Physical Sciences - Carries 200 marks. Time given to complete the exam is 3 hours. The exam starts from 9:00 Am to 12:00 noon on June 23, Sunday 2013.
Afternoon Session - Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Engineering Sciences - Carries 200 marks. Time given to complete the exam is 3 hours. The exam starts from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on June 223, Sunday 2013.
The question paper for UGC NET exam will be set in Hindi and English and the Engineering Science question paper for NET exam will be in English only. Read the syllabus for UGC NET exam.
You can find the question paper divided into three parts.
Part A - Common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences. You will get questions from General Aptitute consists of logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative aptitude, puzzles, graphical analysis and so on.
Part B - For Engineering Sciences the questions will be on Mathematics and Engineering Aptitude. For other disciplines the questions will be of MCQ type with the topics on given in the syllabus.
Part C - For Engineering Sciences exam MCQs will cover topics in the syllabus and for other disciplines the questions will be in nature to test candidates knowledge of scietific concept/ or application. The questions will be in analytical nature where candidates have to apply the scientific knowledge to get the solution. Candidates need to be aware that there will be negative marking for UGC NET exam for wrong answers.

UGC NET June 2013 exam application form, fees and procedure to apply
Candidates can apply for UGC NET June 2013 exam either online or offline.
Procedure to get NET exam application form by hand: To apply offline candidates need to obtain information bulletin and application form for NET June 2013 exam from the bank branches mentioned in the official notification of UGC NET by paying the following fees by the way of cash and get the application on hand.
General - 400
OBC - 200
SC/ST/PH/VH - 100
Procedure to get NET exam application form by post: You can also get the application form and information bulletin of UGC NET June 2013 exam on post by the way of VPP from Indian Bank. 3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi 110008 by sending a DD as per the above mentioned fees drawn in favour of Indian bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi payable at New Delhi. Write your name, Date of birth, address, date of examination, subject code on the reverse side of the DD. Along with this send a request to the bank with two self addressed slips mentioning your address so that you can get the form sent through VPP. To obtain through posts, you need to send the request from 5th February to 25th February, 2013.
Procedure to apply online for UGC NET June 2013 exam: To apply online, visit the official website of csirhrdg and get the bank challan and deposit the mentioned fees in any Indian Bank Branches. Then visit the official website and fill the online application form for UGC NET June 2013 exam and duly fill the details and hit the submit button. Take the print out of filled in application form, affix your recent black and white photograph, put your signature and attach relevant certificates along with CSIR copy of fee receipt. Superscribe the envelop with subject code, centre code and medium code and send it to the below mentioned address and it should reach the office on or before
07.03.2013 which is the last date for receipt of NET June 2013 exam application form. For remote areas the last date is 13.03.2013
