CTET July 2013 Exam online application form, eligibility & Important dates

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi has issued CTET July 2013 notification

which invites online applications for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2013 for which the CTET July 2013 exam date is 28.07.2013. So candidates who are looking for Teacher jobs at Government Schools in India have to appear for CTET exam. Read on to know eligibility and other details!

Who are eligible to apply for CTET July 2013 exam?


Eligibility to apply for CTET 2013 for Teachers for Classes I-V Primary Stage:
  • Should have scored 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education passed or pursuing their final year can apply. (or)

  • Candidates with 45% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed 2 Years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE or appearing in final year are also eligible.(or)

  • Candidates with 50% marks in Senior Secondary and have passed 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education or pursuing their final year are eligible.(or)

  • Candidates with 50% marks in Senior Secondary and passed or pursuing their final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) are eligible. (or)

  • Graduate candidates who have passed two year Diploma in Elementary Education or pursuing their final year can apply.

Eligibility to apply for CTET 2013 for Teachers for Classes VI-VIII Elementary Stage
  • Candidates with Graduation and passed 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or appearing in final year exam are eligible. (or)

  • Candidates with 50% marks in Graduation and passed or pursuing 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or eligibe. (or)

  • Candidates with 45% marks in Graduation and passed or pursuing 1 year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE are eligible. (or)

  • Candidates with 50% makrs in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education or appearing for final year are eligible. (or)

  • Candidates with 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or appearing for final year can apply. (or)

  • Candidates with 50% marks in Graduation and passed or pursuing 1 year B.Ed (Special Education) are eligible to apply

Please note that there will be relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled persons.

CTET July 2013 exam pattern, syllabus and reference books


The CTET exam is of objective type multiple choice questions each of which carries one mark. There will be two papers for CTET. Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for candidates who wish to apply for teacher vacancies for classes I to V and Paper II is for candidates who wish to apply for teacher vacancies in classes VI to VIII. Candidates who wish to apply for both primary and elementary stages need to apply for both the papers.

The language of the question paper shall be either English or Hindi. There will be no negative marking for CTET exam. The qualifying marks for CTET is 60% and above. So candidates who scores 60% and above will get CTET eligibility certificate and the validity period is seven years from the date of result declaration.

CTET July 2013 exam schedule and dates


The written test date for CTET July 2013 is 28.07.2013.
Paper I - 10:30 to 12:00 hrs
Paper II - 13:30 to 15:00 hrs

CTET 2013 online application form, fees and procedure to apply


Fees: The examination fees for CTET July 2013 is as follows.

General/OBC - For Paper I or II 500 and for both papers 800
SC/ST/Differently Abled Person - For Paper I or II 250 and for both papers 400

Candidates can pay the fees either through Debit/Credit Card or obtain challan form from official website of CTET and can be deposited in CBSE Bank account with Syndicate bank or can deposit in CBSE account with post office.

How to apply: Visit the official website of CTET or CBSE and click appy online link and duly fill the online application form for CTET July 2013 exam. Upon submitting the Part I registration you will get registration number. Make a note of this. Make your fee payment as instructed above and proceed to fill online application form Part II and input your fee payment details.



Now take three copies of confirmation page along with address slip. Retain two copies of the confirmation page for future use and send one copy to the below mentioned address, by the way of Registered / Speed post and it should reach the office on or before 22.04.2013 which is the last date for receipt of confirmation page of CTET 2013. Don't forget to superscribe the envelope with "Application for CTET-July 2013".
