CTET 2014 Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Teachers vacancy

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has also published CTET - SEPT 2014 examination with candidates' detail including the photograph and signature of the candidate on the CTET website. CBSE / CTET, the exam organized for selecting a right candidate's eligibility for appointment as a Teacher for classes I to VIII will be held on 21st Sep 2014 (Sunday). Eligible candidates may download Admit cards from the website 22nd August 2014 onwards. You may check the official notification at http://ctet.nic.in/ctetapp/pdf/PublicNoticeSept2014.pdf

The candidates who have applied earlier On-line for CTET-SEPT 2014 through CTET website at http://ctet.nic.in/ctetapp/online/regcand.aspx may check the detail of CTET SEPT 2014 exam eligible candidates list announcement at www.ctet.nic.in.

There will be 'all' Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in CTET test, each will get
one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be right one. There will be no negative marking in this test however.

There will be two papers of CTET.
1. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a Teacher for classes I to V.
2. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a Teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a Teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate. The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

Applicability for CTET


1. The CTET marks and eligibility certificates shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the Administrative Control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi.

2. CTET scores / marks may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

3. Schools owned and managed by the State Government or local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.

Note: Candidate can download the Admit cards for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Sept 2014 which is available at the official website http://ctet.nic.in/ctetapp/online/admitcardlogin.aspx and enter registration number and date, month and year of birth to get the admit card downloaded.
